Licensing & Legal
Important information about who we are, how our service works, how we’re compensated, and where to find our legal policies.

1. Our Role — An Independent Marketplace
DeanInsurance.com (the “Site”) is operated by Secure Systems, Inc. Dean Insurance is an independent insurance comparison and referral marketplace. We are not an insurance company, and we are not a licensed insurance agency, agent, or producer. We do not sell, solicit, negotiate, bind, underwrite, or administer insurance, and we do not make coverage or claims decisions. Instead, we provide general information and connect you with third-party licensed insurance agents, brokers, and carriers (“Insurance Partners”) who are licensed and authorized to offer insurance in your state. Any policy you obtain is a contract solely between you and the issuing carrier.
2. Licensing
Because we operate as a referral marketplace and do not transact insurance, Secure Systems, Inc is not acting as a licensed insurance producer through this Site. The agents and carriers we refer you to are responsible for holding the licenses required to sell insurance in your state, and they are solely responsible for the advice they provide and the policies they offer.
We are committed to operating in compliance with applicable law. If you have questions about the licensing of an agent or carrier you are connected with, you can ask that agent or carrier directly, or verify their license through your state department of insurance.
3. How We’re Compensated
Using Dean Insurance is free to you. We are compensated by our Insurance Partners — for example, through referral or marketing fees — when we connect you with them or when you obtain coverage. This is how we’re able to offer our comparison service at no cost.
Because of how our service works, please understand two things. First, we do not offer or display every insurance company, agent, or plan available in the market — the options you see are limited to the partners we work with. Second, the compensation we receive may influence which partners we present. We aim to connect you with relevant, reputable, licensed partners, but you should compare your options and make the decision that’s right for you, and you are always free to shop elsewhere, including directly with insurers.
4. Medicare Disclosures
To the extent the Site provides information about or referrals for Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement (Medigap), or Medicare Part D plans:
We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.
Secure Systems, Inc is not connected with or endorsed by the United States government or the federal Medicare program, and the Site is not the official Medicare website.
5. Insurance Is Regulated by the States
Insurance in the United States is regulated at the state level. Each state has a department of insurance that licenses agents and carriers, oversees the market, and assists consumers. If you have a question or complaint about an insurance agent, carrier, or policy, your state department of insurance is an excellent resource. You can find your state’s department through the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) at naic.org.
6. Our Legal Policies
Your use of the Site is governed by the following policies. Please review them:
✓ Terms of Service — the terms that govern your use of the Site.
✓ Privacy Policy — how we collect, use, and share your information.
✓ Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information — exercise your opt-out rights.
✓ Accessibility Statement — our commitment to digital accessibility.
